We contact a blood-draw professional near your patient and share the details needed for the request. Age, number of tubes, pre-analytical requirements and the number of laboratories involved affect how much work is involved.

Terms in advance
Your patient receives the blood-draw fee and contact details of the blood-draw professional from us in advance.

Direct appointment and payment
Your patient arranges the appointment directly with the blood-draw professional and pays them directly for the blood draw. We have sent the required material to your patient by mail beforehand; your patient has it ready and complete at the appointment.

Your patient books the sample pickup in the patient portal; we organize the return shipment to the laboratories. We share the results according to your settings.

Fee known in advance, paid directly.
The blood-draw professional sets the blood-draw fee. Your patient learns it in advance, before making an appointment, and pays the blood-draw professional directly. The blood-draw fee is not part of the 99Tests service fee.
If a blood draw has to be repeated, its costs are excluded from the handling guarantee.

Where does the blood draw take place?
With a blood-draw professional from our network near your patient or, depending on availability, at your patient's home. We check with the blood-draw professional whether a home visit is possible and tell your patient together with the terms.
What does my patient need to have ready for the appointment?
The material we sent by mail beforehand – complete. It is put together for the laboratories involved.
How does the sample get to the laboratory?
Your patient books the sample pickup in the patient portal and can also cancel it there. We organize the return shipment to the laboratories.
Who receives the results?
According to your settings, we share the results with you only or with the patient as well – before or after the next appointment.
Can my practice take on blood draws for patients of other practitioners?
If you carry out blood draws yourself, you can apply to join the network. More under “Join the network” (application form in German).
